H&R Block offering grants to women-owned businesses

H&R Block's Block Advisors segment is offering up to $100,000 in grants through the Fund Her Future program to six women-owned businesses dedicated to improving their communities. One small business will receive a $50,000 grant, while five others will each get a $10,000 grant. The winners also will receive a year in small-business services from Block Advisors valued at nearly $30,000.

Applicants must be more than 18 years old and own a U.S.-based business that generated a minimum of $20,000 in revenue in 2024. Nonprofits are not eligible. Owners can apply though May 30. Winners will be notified by the end of July. 


$20,000 grants from BOTOX

The BOTOX Cosmetic Confidence Project aims to award 20 small-business owners with a $20,000 grant. Interested business owners have to apply to become a part of a 250-member community that will participate in a 12-week program for entrepreneurs. Only 20 of those participants will receive grants.

Small-business owners who apply must be a leading executive of a for-profit business that generated at least $25,000 in revenue in 2024, with a preference given to female entrepreneurs, according the contest rules. Offered in conjunction with financing platform Hello Alice, the deadline to apply for the program is May 9.


$150,000 in home-services grants from Jobber

Home-services software provider Jobber is accepting applications for its 2025 Jobber Grants program. Up to 15 home-services small businesses across the United States and Canada will receive $10,000 grants each. Those businesses can be at any stage in their operations, whether it's entrepreneurs just starting out or established businesses. 


Jobber to date has provided $625,000 in grants over the five years of its program. The grants are awarded across several categories, including business owners who keep homes and offices safe, owners who have helped others build meaningful careers, people who look after their local communities, and people who prioritize technology and innovation. Applications are due June 11. Finalists for the grants will be announced in August.


$10,000 DoorDash disaster-relief grants

Restaurants across the country hit hard by a natural disaster can apply for $10,000 grants courtesy of DoorDash. The Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund, a partnership between DoorDash, Hello Alice and the Global Entrepreneurship Network, is open to restaurants in state or federally declared natural-disaster areas. The program's grant window opens on a rolling basis, with four a year.


To be eligible, restaurants must have a brick-and-mortar location, fewer than 50 employees per location, be open at least six months and have less than $3 million in revenue per location. The first window for applications is open until May 30. Winners will be announced in July.


$5,000 grants to creative-economy entrepreneurs

The Creative Business Boost Initiative is a new grant program sponsored by Hello Alice and the Global Entrepreneurship Network along with Etsy’s Uplift Fund. One hundred entrepreneurs will be selected to receive a $5,000 grant and access to an exclusive coaching program to help them gain capital and resources.


To be eligible, the applicant needs to be a creative entrepreneur (as defined here) and have been in operation for at least 12 months with an existing product or service currently in the market.

Applications are due May 9, recipients will be notified in June, and the boot camp will kick off the first week of July.
